Never Give Up: A Story of Faith and Hope

How One Woman Overcame Life's Darkest Moments

Sometimes, we all need a reminder that no matter how hard life gets, giving up is not an option. God’s love, strength, and promises are always with us, carrying us through even the darkest valleys.

This week’s newsletter is especially inspiring because I have the privilege of sharing a story from one of you—our incredible community of believers. It’s a powerful testimony of resilience, faith, and God’s unwavering presence.

Anchor of the Week: God’s Faithfulness in the Fight

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”Galatians 6:9

This verse is a beautiful reminder that our perseverance is not in vain. No matter how hard the road gets, God is faithful to bless us when we trust Him and continue moving forward.

Now, let’s take a moment to hear a story that shows how God truly works through even the most difficult of challenges we face.

Story Spotlight: A Subscriber’s Testimony

This week, I’m honored to share the story from one of our subscribers. Her journey is an absolute testament to God’s incredible faithfulness and the power of never giving up:

Dear Anchored in Faith,

First, I want to say thank you for sending out this newsletter. I am a subscriber to your YouTube channel; your meditation videos are amazing!

When I saw that you would be featuring a story a month, I thought that my story might qualify as one of hope, faith, and an example of how truly loving and forgiving our God is!

About ten years ago, my life was turned upside down. Amidst an ugly divorce, my father passed away, and I had to move back and forth between California, and Missouri, three times, in two years. I had gone to college, but my school would not release my degree because I owed them money for part of my last semester’s tuition. A mix-up on court paperwork prompted the loss of custody of my youngest daughter, to my ex-husband, who would not let me see her. My oldest daughter moved to Arizona to live with my sister, and I found myself totally “alone” in the world, or so I thought. Broke, newly single, and grieving the loss of my parents (my mom passed away five years before my dad). I returned to drug use, which I struggled with in my teens. Things got worse, and I wound up homeless, with no idea how I was EVER going to get my life back. Homelessness can be scary, and there are things that cannot be unseen. During that period, I went to the mental hospital over thirty times. I realized, however, that God was waiting for me. When I was at my lowest, he comforted me. When I thought I was going to freeze to death, he kept me warm, and he sent His angels to guide me to people that had “fallen between the cracks” in society. I was able to spread God’s message, and my sturdy faith in Him, to people who had, to put it simply, strayed from their paths of righteousness. A little over a year ago, I was living in an abandoned rock quarry in below freezing weather, digging change out of carwash vacuums to eat. God knew I could not live like that for very much longer. I ended up in the mental hospital, one last time. During my admittance, I called my sister, for the first time in years. She offered an alternative to how I was living. I relocated to Arizona, and completed a drug treatment program. I am no longer homeless, thanks to my loving family, and of course, God! My life is coming back together, and both of my daughters are now in communication with me! Through it all, God was teaching me how to get through anything! Never lose faith, God is with you, even in the darkest places. God bless you, Anchored in Arizona

Thank you to Anchored in Arizona for sharing this beautiful testimony. Stories like this remind us that we’re never alone in our struggles and that God is always at work, even when we can’t see it. ❤️🙏

1. When you feel overwhelmed, turn to scripture for encouragement.

2. Surround yourself with others who lift you up and remind you of God’s faithfulness.

3. Pray for strength daily, trusting God to carry you through the challenges.

4. Keep a journal of small victories to remind yourself how far God has brought you.

Scripture Reflection: Strength for the Journey

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”Isaiah 40:31

This scripture is a promise that God will always give you the strength you need to keep going. When you feel like giving up, lean into His presence and let Him renew your spirit.

Christian Mindfulness: Trusting God in the Fight

When life feels overwhelming, taking a moment to refocus on God’s promises can help you stay grounded. Try this simple exercise:

• Close your eyes and breathe deeply in and out, slow and easy.

• As you inhale, silently say, “Lord, I trust You.”

• As you exhale, let go of your doubts and say, “You will carry me.”

• Repeat for a few minutes, allowing God’s peace to settle your heart and soothe any worry.

What’s Ahead?

Next week, I’ll be sharing more uplifting meditations, a sleep session of the Psalms & daily prayers, and reflections to strengthen your faith. Be sure to subscribe to my channel if you haven’t already so you don’t miss anything!

Thank you for being part of this community. Together, we’re reminded that God’s love never fails and that through Him, we can keep moving forward, no matter what comes our way.

Stay anchored in Him,

Amber @
