If you've ever walked through the weeds, wandered through the valleys, or ridden the loopy-loop roller coaster of life, then you know how sacred peace becomes.
For many of us, peace wasn’t something we grew up with. I know I didn’t. My childhood was far from peaceful. It was unpredictable, chaotic, and unsafe. So as an adult, I’ve learned that peace isn’t just something I long for; it's something I must actively choose.
That’s what this week’s newsletter is about: finding God's peace and holding onto it, no matter what’s swirling around you.
A Channel Recommendation That Will Bless You
This week, I wanted to introduce you to someone who speaks about God’s peace. Perhaps you already know of her. She shares raw honesty with a quiet strength. Her name is Cait Taylor, and she is from the YouTube channel/Podcast 828 with Cait.
She’s a young woman originally from England who moved to New Zealand as a child and now lives here in Los Angeles. While she’s still early in her journey, her wisdom is beyond her years. I stumbled upon her on YouTube, and I immediately felt drawn and connected to her and her story.
Cait opens up about her struggles, her walk with God, the moments she felt far from peace, the moments she didn’t know God… and most of all, how she found her way to Him and His peace.
I have no affiliation with her; I just believe in sharing messages and stories that uplift you all, and I feel you will find that hers truly does.
(You can find the link to her channel at the bottom of this page.)
Anchor of the Week
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.” – John 14:27
Jesus didn’t say we’d never face chaos; He said we’d have His peace in the middle of it.
His peace is a gift, not something we earn. And it's available to you at any time.
🕊️ A Word on God’s Peace
The Bible describes God’s peace as a gift and a state of being, a calm, grounded security that rises above the noise.
God is called the “Lord of peace,” meaning peace isn’t just what He gives—it’s who He is.
And yet… we often push ourselves past the point of exhaustion. Our plates are so full they’re spilling onto the floor. We collapse into bed, numbed by noise and distraction, and we wonder why we feel distant from Him.
The truth of it all is this, though:
God doesn’t want your life overflowing with stress. He wants your spirit overflowing with Him.
His peace is found in stillness, surrender, and putting Him first. And that might mean intentionally clearing space in your heart, your schedule, and your mind.
And that’s what inspired this week’s new bedtime meditation:
It was created to help you unwind, reconnect, and rest in the shelter of His peace. Drift into Deep Sleep Covered by God's Perfect Peace
If you're reading this in the morning, feel free to save it to your “Watch Later” list or meditation playlist. Let it be there when you're ready to rest.
Not Ready for Bed? Here Are More Peaceful Meditations
If you’re not winding down yet but still need some spiritual calm, here are a few other meditations that will take you there:
🙏 A Prayer for a Peaceful Week
Heavenly Father,
You are the Lord of Peace.
When the world feels too loud, You invite us into quiet.
When our minds are overwhelmed, You offer rest.
Help us to clear the clutter of our thoughts, our schedules, and our hearts.
Show us that peace isn’t found in having it all figured out, but in having You near.
Let Your peace cover the places in us that still feel chaotic.
Let it guard our minds, still our spirits, and gently lead us back to You.
We receive it now—fully, freely, and faithfully.
In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
💌 Final Thoughts
No matter what you’ve walked through, peace is not out of reach.
It’s not reserved for the perfect, the calm, or the “figured it out” people.
It’s for the messy. The overwhelmed. The in-process.
So if your spirit is tired, if your life feels too full, if your heart is craving more than reruns of Friends and rushed mornings, step into His peace.
Clear the plate. Open your hands.
And breathe in the peace that only God can give.
Wishing you a week of stillness, clarity, and soul-deep calm.
